Week 5

Good morning Reception and welcome to the fifth week of our home learning! Well done to all of you for trying so hard at home and a huge thank you to your parents/carers for all their support. You are all amazing!!

Thank you for continuing to share all the super learning you have been doing. It has been so lovely seeing your smiling faces on the zoom meetings everyday as we are missing you all!

Here is where you will find all of the work that needs to be completed this week.

Please remember to send us some of your work at class1@mylor-bridge.cornwall.sch or you can upload it to your Tapestry account.

If you have any questions about your work you can also use this email address.

Remember to join us on zoom at 9:30 every morning if you can and also on Friday afternoon for a story.

There will be an English and Maths activity to complete everyday and a topic lesson each afternoon.

We are still uploading more stories so keep an eye on the KS1 bookshelf!

Have fun with this work, we can't wait to see what you've done each day!

Here is a rough timetable for the afternoons:

Monday - Topic
Tuesday - PE
Wednesday - Music
Thursday - Science
Friday - Art
There are quite a few ideas here, so please use what suits you best!
Science/Art - Make a jungle/rainforest animal mask

Art this week is linked to the Science. How to make your animal mask is shown on the Science video. You can follow this method or do it your own way.

I have also added another video to show you a different way to make a mask.

Don't worry if you don't have all of the resources in the videos, just use what you have around at home, for example, instead of using tissue paper, you could use felt tip pens or paints.

You can choose a jungle or a rainforest animal. Most of all, have some fun and I look forward to seeing which animal you are when you wear your mask!
