Summer 1 - Famous Queens

In Science we will learn about some amazing people who have had a big impact in a range of scientific fields, from the inventor of the wind turbine to the first female doctor in the world.

Summer 2 - Historic Cornwall
This half term, our topic is 'Historic Cornwall'. We will be researching and exploring the history of mining in Cornwall by looking at pictures and artefacts, reading extracts from miners' accounts of what mines were like and even visiting an actual mine!
Our final topic of the year in science is all about our environment. We will start by learning about climate change and it's effect on the planet before exploring renewable energy and considering ways to contribute to looking after the planet.
