22-23-Cycle A - Autumn Learning

Our Classes

Autumn 1 - All About Me

This half term, as the title of our topic suggests, we are focusing on ourselves and our local environment.

We will be learning about maps, how to read and create them, ending by using our newly acquired knowledge and skills to create a map of Mylor.

In Science, we will be finding out about animals including humans, learning about life cycles, basic needs of animals and humans and keeping ourselves healthy.

If you would like to find out a little bit more about our learning this half term, please feel free to look at the knowledge organisers to the right. Autumn 2 - One Giant Leap

We will have a History focus in our topic lessons this half term. We will learn all about the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong, as well as looking at the space race between the USA and Russia.

Within our History lessons, we will learn about Neil Armstrong's life as well as the moon landing itself. This will allow us several opportunities to learn about and plot timelines.

Everyday materials and their uses will be our focus in Science. We will investigate why different materials are well suited for some purposes and no so much for others.
